Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Construction Project Manager to join their team. Visa sponsorship is potentially available for qualified international candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Location: Oshawa, ON
• Salary: $48.08 hourly / 30 to 40 hours per week
• Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-time
• Special Commitments: Morning, Evening, Weekend shifts
• Vacancies: 1

Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractors’ activities
• Evaluate daily operations
• Plan and organize daily operations
• Select trade subcontractors
• Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates
• Recruit, hire and supervise staff and/or volunteers
• Hire and supervise activities of subcontractors
• Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contracts
• Establish and implement policies and procedures for quality control
• Operate CADD and other computer software systems
• Read blueprints, schemas, and drawings
• Plan and manage budgets
• Direct the purchase of building materials and land acquisitions
• Develop and implement quality control programs
• Develop risk management plans
• Oversee the analysis of data and information
• Prepare reports

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree
• Languages: English
• Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years in project management

Work Environment

• Outdoors and interior
• Urban area setting
