Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Construction Estimator to join their team. The employer accepts applications from Canadian citizens, permanent or temporary residents, and other candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit. Immigration support may be available for the right candidate.

Job Details

• Location: Surrey, BC
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $38.50 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
• Vacancies: 4

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
• Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads
• Provide economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects
• Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets and bids forms
• Analyze tenders and recommend awards
• Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems
• Monitor and adjust contract expenditures
• Prepare and maintain directory of supplies and trade contractors
• Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications

Qualifications

• Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent experience
• Experience: 2 to less than 3 years in a related field
• Languages: English
