Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Concrete Forms Carpenter. We welcome applications from international candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit. Immigration support is potentially available for the right candidate.

• Location: Burnaby, BC
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $37.10 hourly for 40 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full time
• Special Commitments: Day, Evening shifts

Responsibilities

• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
• Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions.
• Move tools, equipment and other materials.

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years in a related field.
• Languages: English

Work Conditions

• Bending, crouching, kneeling required.
• Combination of sitting, standing, walking.
• Physically demanding role.
• Manual dexterity is required.
