Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Computer Network Technician to join their team. Visa sponsorship may be considered for qualified candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Location: Mississauga, ON
• Salary: $36.00 per hour
• Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
• Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time

Responsibilities

• Coordinate access and use of computer networks
• Install software and web server hardware
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and administer local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and mainframe networks
• Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software
• Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures
• Perform routine network start-up and close down, maintaining control records
• Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations
• Optimize server performance and respond to user requests

Requirements

Education

• College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of less than one year
• Specialization in computer systems analysis or related field

Experience

• 1 to 2 years of experience in network technician role
