Project Overview

Our client is involved in a Delivery Partner role for a Subway Project in Toronto. This project encompasses the design, build, operations, and maintenance of infrastructure and rail systems related to 15 stations and over 15 km of new alignment.

Job Summary

The Completions and Handover Lead will provide leadership and functional guidance to the program team, ensuring effective handover management activities. The role involves strategic insight in People, Processes, and Performance for the Handover Team.

Major Responsibilities

• Lead the handover effort through supervision of staff and oversight of Contractors.
• Develop and implement Project Completion and Handover processes.
• Support the division of responsibility between project entities related to handover deliverables.
• Direct Contractors for Asset Data Management consistent with customer expectations.
• Ensure timely deliverables through effective project scheduling.
• Facilitate meetings with Contractors to review handover schedules.
• Track and communicate project performance against requirements.
• Provide solutions in coordination with functional leads to maintain schedule integrity.
• Build and manage relationships with senior management and directors.
• Cooperate with Metrolinx on health and safety matters.
• Assist in the onboarding and training of personnel.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Degree in engineering or a scientific discipline, or professional construction/project management license.
• Minimum of 17 years of relevant experience in large infrastructure project commissioning/handover.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office software programs.
• Ability to prepare meaningful reports and high-quality documentation.
• Able to work within diverse, multi-disciplinary teams.
• Self-driven with minimal supervision required.
• Flexible in managing multiple tasks and priorities.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of handover processes.
• Ability to leverage data analytics for decision-making.
• Capability to create strategic planning procedures and user-friendly templates.
