Position: Class 1 Truck Driver

Overview

• Job Location: Various Locations
• Work Setting: On the road
• Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
• Salary: $30.00 per hour, 35 to 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Provide professionalism in customer service
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
• Perform preventive maintenance on the vehicle
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
• Tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
• Certificates: Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks), Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
• Documentation Knowledge: Accident reports, driver logbook, inspection reports, trip reports

• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel cross-border and internationally
