Job Summary

As part of the BV Construction group, you will develop and enhance your skills in an on-site, hands-on environment. We are dedicated to expert training, career advancement, and the latest technology to provide the best service in safety, quality, and final product. Roles include safety, project field management, construction management, quality control, startup and decommissioning, and field engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and guidance to subcontractors based on design drawings and specifications.
• Respond to Contractor Information Requests (CIRs) and maintain necessary records.
• Monitor subcontractors for compliance with technical requirements.
• Oversee discipline construction activities to ensure alignment with the CPM schedule.
• Prepare and issue discipline extra work authorization requests with approvals.
• Document site activities and maintain daily logs.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and review subcontractor progress payment requests.
• Collaborate with the Field Quality Assurance Manager and oversee inspections and tests.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards consistently.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts.

Management Responsibilities

• Individual Contributor – no subordinates.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of cost control, scheduling, and engineering documents.
• Ability to perform material takeoffs and field estimates.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and discipline engineering experience.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program or a recognized foreign institution.
• 0 to 1 year of construction management experience in similar facility construction.
• 1 to 2 years of design experience required.
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, including background checks.

Physical Demands

• Lift and carry heavy items up to 50 pounds.
• Navigate confined spaces and uneven areas.
• Full range of motion required for job duties.
• May involve climbing and maintaining balance at heights.
• Work in varying temperature extremes and outdoor conditions.

Work Environment

• Typical construction site conditions with cramped spaces.
• Exposure to varying temperatures and weather elements.
• Safe handling of hazardous equipment.
