Our client is seeking dedicated Child Care Workers for their childcare center in Edmonton, AB. This position is suitable for individuals considering LMIA visa jobs in Canada, as immigration support may be available for overseas candidates.

• Salary: $25.00 per hour for 40 to 44 hours per week

Overview

The ideal candidate will have completed a college or CEGEP program of 1 to 2 years. Experience with children, particularly in a pre-school education setting, is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
• Assist early childhood educators in program implementation and record-keeping.
• Engage children in activities, including storytelling and crafts.
• Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral issues and prepare reports.
• Establish guidelines for behavior and promote a healthy environment.
• Plan and organize activities for school-age children before and after regular school hours.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of other childcare staff.

Qualifications

• Relevant certificates (Child Development Assistant, Supervisor, Worker, etc.).
• Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification.
• Experience with special needs children.
• Criminal record check required.
