Our client is seeking a Chef for their restaurant in Timmins, ON. Visa sponsorship may be considered for qualified candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Location: Timmins, ON
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $21.50 per hour, 30 to 40 hours per week
• Employment Type: Permanent, Full time
• Special Commitments: Morning, Day, Evening, Flexible hours

Responsibilities

• Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory
• Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to cooking staff
• Supervise activities of specialist chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers
• Create new recipes
• Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food
• Prepare and cook food on a regular basis or for special guests/functions
• Requisition food and kitchen supplies
• Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
• Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
