• Work Setting: On site, Restaurant
• Salary: $27.00 to $37.00 per hour, to be negotiated
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
• Hours per week: 30 to 40
• Night and Weekend shifts: To be determined

Overview

• Languages: English
• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
• Work Setting: Requires physical presence at the location; remote work is not an option.

Responsibilities

• Estimate amount and costs of supplies and food items
• Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory
• Analyze operating costs and other data
• Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to staff
• Supervise activities of kitchen staff
• Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food
• Prepare and cook food regularly or for special occasions
• Requisition food and kitchen supplies
• Plan menus and ensure quality standards are met
• Train staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling
