Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Carpenter with potential visa sponsorship available for overseas candidates, including candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $36.10 hourly / 35 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
• Vacancies: 1

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs.
• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments.
• Design patterns to fit measurements.

Work Conditions

• Noisy and dusty environment.
• Physically demanding tasks requiring bending, crouching, and handling heavy loads.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
• Language: English.
