Overview

Our client is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join their team. Visa sponsorship may be considered for overseas candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Location: Lower Sackville, NS
• Salary: $27.00 per hour
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
• Shifts: Early morning, Morning, Day, Weekend
• Vacancies: 2

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
• Schedule and coordinate work on sites.

Work Environment

• Work site involves heights, is noisy, dusty, and outdoors.
• Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a related field.
• Language: English.
