Our client is seeking a Buyer – Wholesale to join their team in Guelph, ON. This is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive hourly wage of $28.85, requiring 30 hours of work per week. We welcome applications from international candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit. Visa sponsorship may be considered for the right candidate.

Overview

• Work Setting: Wholesale establishment/store, retail business.

Responsibilities

• Study market reports, trade periodicals, and sales promotion materials.
• Arrange products according to planogram.
• Establish and maintain contact with suppliers.
• Maintain adequate stock levels.
• Negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements with suppliers.
• Oversee distribution of merchandise to outlets.
• Provide customer service.
• Review requirements of establishment and determine quantity and type of merchandise to purchase.
• Select and purchase merchandise for resale.
• Visit trade shows, showrooms, factories, and product design events.
