Job Details

• Location: Edmonton, AB
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $36.00 hourly for 40 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
• Special Commitments: Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift

Responsibilities

• Cut carcasses, sides and quarters
• Cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat
• Remove bones from meat
• Cut poultry into parts
• Cut fish into steaks and fillets
• Supervise other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers
• Train meat cutters
• Shape, lace, and tie roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood
• Prepare special orders

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
• Languages: English
• Work Environment: Physically demanding, handling heavy loads, requires good hand-eye coordination
