Our client is seeking a Barber who can cut and style hair according to clients’ preferences and provide various hair treatments. Visa sponsorship may be considered for the right candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

• Salary: $20.00 hourly / 40 hours per week

Requirements

Education

• Other trades certificate or diploma

Experience

1 to less than 7 months

Barbershop or hairstyling salon/studio

Responsibilities

• Cut and trim hair according to client’s instructions or preferences
• Shampoo customers’ hair
• Shave and trim beards and mustaches
• Provide hair treatments such as waving, straightening, and tinting
• Supervise apprentices/students in training
• Maintain and order supplies

Supervision

• 1 to 2 people

Hair Styling Techniques

• Blow drying
• Iron waving/curling
• Spiking

Hair Colouring Techniques

• Bleach
• Dyes/tints
• Frosting
• Streaking/highlights

Work Conditions
