Job Overview

Our client is seeking an automotive service technician to join their team. This position is ideal for candidates willing to relocate. Visa sponsorship may be considered for the right candidate, and immigration support is potentially available.

Job Details

• Salary: $36.50 per hour
• Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
• Hours: 30 to 45 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems.
• Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
• Discuss work with supervisor and confirm findings to determine necessary repairs.
• Perform scheduled maintenance service and road test motor vehicles.
• Estimate parts and labour costs for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Coach and instruct apprentices.
• Provide excellent customer service and complete reports on work performed.

Qualifications

• Education: Other trades certificate or diploma in automobile/automotive mechanics technology/technician.
• Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years in a related field.
• Certificates: Automotive Service Technician Red Seal Certificate required.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced environment with conditions that may be dusty, dirty, hot, and noisy.
• Physical capabilities: Standing for extended periods and manual dexterity are required.
