What You’ll Be Doing

The Associate Vice President, AML Risk Insights is accountable for the development, maintenance, and management of the enterprise program to effectively identify money laundering (ML), terrorist financing (TF), sanctions, and operational risks for the Enterprise AML and Sanctions Programs. The AML Risk Insights Program will identify new and emerging risks and trends through data analysis.

• Business insights and analysis: Lead the development and manage the AML business insights program across multiple regions including Canada and the US. Ensure key risk indicators are developed and regularly reported to inform stakeholders of changes in ML/TF/Sanctions risk profiles.
• AML risk framework: Implement the enterprise ML/TF and Sanctions risk assessment program globally and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Performance reporting: Design, develop, and deliver performance reporting for operational teams in line with stakeholder requirements, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
• Data management: Act as Data Owner or delegate for relevant applications, ensuring governance and oversight for data related to AML applications.
• People leadership: Provide effective management of business unit staff to foster commitment and influence a strong organizational culture.

Who You Are

• You have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in regulatory compliance programs related to ML and TF.
• You possess comprehensive knowledge of Canadian AML/ATF laws and related jurisdictions.
• You have an undergraduate degree in business, law, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• You exhibit strong judgment and problem-solving skills for compliance and risk management solutions.
• You’re passionate about people, with solid relationship management and negotiation skills.
• You demonstrate exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• You embody the values of trust, teamwork, and accountability.
