Job Overview

Our client is seeking an Assistant Manager – Retail to join their team. This permanent full-time position is located in Brampton, ON, and offers support for candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Location: 130 Delta Park Blvd, Brampton, ON, L6T 5E7
• Salary: $43.50 per hour (30 hours per week)
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time

Responsibilities

• Manage staff and assign duties
• Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand
• Determine merchandise and services to be sold
• Implement pricing and credits policies
• Locate, select, and procure merchandise for resale
• Develop and implement marketing strategies
• Plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses
• Determine staffing requirements
• Resolve customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages
• Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers
• Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations

Supervision

• Supervise 11-15 people across various responsibilities

Experience and Specialization

• Education: College/CEGEP
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
• Computer Skills: MS Outlook, MS Access, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, MS Word

Work Environment

• Fast-paced environment
• Work under pressure with tight deadlines
• Attention to detail with a large workload
