Your Opportunity:

Our client is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Home Care Team as Assistant Head Nurse. In this role, you will report to the Site Manager and provide client and family-centered care, as well as case management as required. You will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of staffing assignments and workload management. Your duties will include liaising, facilitating, monitoring, and coordinating education for all staff in accordance with CCHSS and AHS ACE requirements.

You will also oversee the delegations for HCAs, coordinate orientation for new staff, and arrange educational in-services, liaising with the AHS educator/e-Doc team to facilitate required education. Additionally, you will mentor HCAs, LPNs, and RNs and provide feedback to the Site Manager and HCA Team Lead.

Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends
Minimum Salary: $44.71
Maximum Salary: $61.18
Vehicle Requirement: Driver’s License, Vehicle Required

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited nursing education program
• Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)

Additional Required Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited nursing education program
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Active registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
• RAI-HC training, Case Manager training, Microsoft Office, Excel, Home Care- Connect Care training, etc.
• Access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel
• Driver’s Abstract to be completed by AHS without GDL restrictions
• Minimum of 5 years of Home Care Case Management experience
• Minimum of 3 years of Acute Care nursing experience
• Management/leadership experience is an asset
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
