Our client is a national not-for-profit organization that assists partners in the private and non-profit sectors in addressing strategic challenges by harnessing Canada’s world-class post-secondary talent.

Position: Advisor, Business Development — Quebec City

As a member of the Business Development team, you will serve as the link between academia and industry, helping businesses and not-for-profit organizations to solve their R&D challenges by forming partnerships with post-secondary institutions. You will play a key role in promoting the organization’s programs to businesses, faculty, and the student community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with members of Business Development, Research, and Programs teams to deliver high-quality programming.
• Collaborate with stakeholders from universities and colleges to understand the needs of researchers and students and find industry opportunities.
• Create and maintain a network of partners and clients in the industry and academia.
• Introduce companies and organizations to the organization’s various programs.
• Provide support to the Business Development team as needed.
• Collaborate with institutional offices involved in program administration to ensure clarity of roles.

Skills and Experience:

• Master’s or PhD, or equivalent combination of education and research experience.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Enthusiastic self-starter with a high-energy spirit.
• Team player with a creative mindset.
• Desire to pursue a career outside of research and academia.
• Fluency in written and spoken French and English is required.

Hiring Information

Note that this role requires frequent in-person availability in Quebec City.

Hiring Range: $71,200 – $84,550
