Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse in Emergency Department

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Emergency Department team. Your Role

As a Registered Nurse, you will provide a range of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations, ensuring their safety and well-being. Your responsibilities will include:

Shift Details

• Hours of Shifts: 07:15 – 19:30 and 11:15 – 23:30

Compensation

• Provisional Permit Holders will be compensated at a rate of $39.58/hour – $54.16/hour. Upon entering the register of Registered Nurses, the pay rate will adjust according to applicable agreements.

• Unit and Program: Emergency
• Multi-Site: At (UNA only)
• FTE: 1.00
• Temporary Employee Class: Temp F/T Benefits
• Hours per Shift: 11.08
• Shift Pattern: Days, Nights, Weekends
• Minimum Salary: $43.26
• Maximum Salary: $59.21

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
• Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
• If not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five years, completion of the required free courses.

Additional Required Qualifications

• Minimum one year of full-time equivalent (1536 worked hours) nursing experience in critical care or complex medical/surgical acute care setting required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current Calgary zone Emergency position or equivalent training.
• Current certifications in ACLS, TNCC, PALS, ENPC, and CTAS, with documentation of completion dates.
