Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Chef with experience in Japanese cuisine for a permanent, full-time position. Visa sponsorship may be considered for overseas candidates. This position is located in Chilliwack, BC.

Job Details

• Location: Chilliwack, BC
• Salary: $27.00 to $37.00 per hour (To be negotiated)
• Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full time
• Special Commitments: Night, Weekend, To be determined
• Vacancies: 1

Responsibilities

• Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales and inventory.
• Analyze operating costs and other data.
• Supervise specialist chefs, cooks and kitchen workers.
• Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets.
• Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff.
• Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
• Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food.

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.
• Languages: English.
• Personal Suitability: Team player.
