Job Overview

Our client is looking for a dedicated Long Haul Truck Driver in Winnipeg, MB. Visa sponsorship is available for overseas candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Location: Winnipeg, MB
• Workplace Information: On-site
• Salary: $30.00 hourly / 40 to 50 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, Full-time
• Vacancies: 4

Responsibilities

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions using computer and GPS equipment to minimize fuel consumption.
• Address customer complaints and concerns while maintaining professionalism in customer service.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Oversee vehicle condition, inspect tires, lights, and brakes, and perform emergency roadside repairs.
• Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring all vehicle aspects are monitored.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
• Tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo.

Credentials

• Air Brakes Endorsement
• Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)

Experience and Skills

• Documentation knowledge pertinent to accident/incident reports, driver logbooks, inspection reports, and trip reports.
• Experience with GPS and other navigation equipment.

Work Conditions

• Repetitive tasks requiring sitting for extended periods.
• Ability to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
