Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Construction Cost Estimator. This position is suited for individuals with a strong background in residential construction and experience in purchasing, procurement, and contracts.

Job Details

• Location: Brampton, ON
• Workplace: On site
• Salary: $36.10 hourly
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
• Work Hours: 32 to 35 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs.
• Prepare pre-qualification submissions for clients.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
• Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads.
• Project cash flow and financing requirements.
• Advise on tendering procedures.
• Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems.
• Monitor and adjust contract expenditures.
• Prepare and maintain directory of supplies and trade contractors.
• Liaise and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors regarding cost estimates.

Experience and Requirements

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in residential construction.
