Job Details

• Salary: $200,000 to $400,000 annually (to be negotiated)
• Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
• Special Commitments: Day, Evening, Weekend, Morning

Responsibilities

• Collect medical information from patients, family members, or other medical professionals.
• Examine patients’ health conditions to identify diseases and injuries.
• Help patients develop healthy habits and reshape their approach to wellness.
• Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures.
• Consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients’ physical and mental health.
• Prescribe and administer medications and treatments.
• Inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases.
• Participate in health care policy and planning.
• Advise patients on health care matters.
• Report births, deaths, and contagious diseases to authorities.
• Co-ordinate or manage primary patient care.
• Provide acute care management.
• Offer counselling and support to patients and their families on health issues.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry.
• Experience: 1 to less than 2 years.
• Certification: College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP) and licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
• Languages: English.
