Your Opportunity:Our client is dedicated to Enhancing Care in the Community, helping people be healthy, well, and independent in their homes and communities. Our client’s Continuing Care program provides services through five main areas: Home Living, Supportive Living, Facility Living, Transition Services, and Palliative Care. We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Home Living team to provide professional support services in the homes of clients of all ages and stages of life. The Registered Nurse will work collaboratively with the health care team and has responsibilities, including assessment of needs, delivering appropriate therapeutic nursing services within professional practice standards, coordinating resources, establishing goals for client delivery, and evaluating outcomes. This position also provides case management and direct client care that meets established clinical standards, is evidence-based, and client-centered. In collaboration with family and other partners, the Registered Nurse will act as a consultant on the team, providing clinical expertise and direction to other team members regarding client cases, developing a care plan based on unmet needs, and utilizing the appropriate internal and external resources. As a member of the multidisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse will participate in staff development and mentor student clinical experiences.Description:As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations while ensuring their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes through critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making, and will teach, counsel, and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family-centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of our client.

Salary:Provisional Permit Holders shall be paid $39.58/hour – $54.16/hour. Upon being entered into the register of Registered Nurses, the rate of pay shall be adjusted according to applicable rates for Registered Nurses.

Required Qualifications:Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the required courses is needed.

Additional Required Qualifications:Two years of recent nursing experience (obtained within the last 5 years) or completion of a refresher program within 2 years. Ability to work independently and use sound professional judgment. Excellent organizational, communication, and assessment skills to work cooperatively with healthcare team members, clients, and families.

Preferred Qualifications:Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred, though relevant skills and experience in the community sector will be considered. Palliative care experience, previous Continuing Care and/or geriatric experience, and experience with assessment tools are also preferred.
