Your Opportunity:
The Health Link Team has an opportunity for an energetic, passionate, and experienced Registered Nurse looking for a change in how care is delivered. You will be utilizing your robust communication skills, extensive nursing knowledge, and diverse work background. An essential part of this provincial health team, you will provide telephone triage services, offering health advice and information to callers across Alberta. Key Responsibilities:
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will:

• Provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations.
• Ensure patient safety and well-being through nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making.
• Teach, counsel, and advocate on behalf of patients and their families.
• Support an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance.
• Deliver safe, quality, patient, and family-centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization.

Compensation:
Provisional Permit Holders shall be paid $39.58 /hour – $54.16/hour. Upon registration as a Registered Nurse, the rate of pay will adjust to the applicable Registered Nurse rate.

• Maximum Salary: $59.21

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
• Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
• If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of specific online courses is required.

Additional Required Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3-5 years of recent clinical experience as a registered nurse, including experience in various clinical areas that require advanced assessment skills and strong critical thinking abilities. Experience with diverse client populations and clinical issues including emergency, pediatrics, maternal/child, medical/surgical, and critical care is necessary. A minimum typing speed of 35 WPM and intermediate computer skills are also required.

Preferred Qualifications:
A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing is preferred. Experience interacting with clients over the telephone is also preferred.
