Job Overview

Our client is seeking a First Officer for air transport. Visa sponsorship may be considered for international candidates, including those with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Location: Yellowknife, NT
• Salary: $38,000 annually / 35 to 40 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, Full time
• Workplace Information: On site

Responsibilities

• Fly fixed wing aircrafts or helicopters.
• Conduct pre-flight inspection of aircraft and check passenger and cargo distribution to ensure compliance with weight and balance specifications.
• Contact control towers for takeoff clearances, arrival instructions, and other information.
• Maintain communications with flight dispatchers and weather forecasters and respond to and report in-flight emergencies and malfunctions.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Commercial Pilot Licence – fixed wing.
• Private Pilot Licence.
• Flight instrument rating.
• Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Licence.
• Visual Flight Rating.
• Multi-instrument Flight Rating.

Education

• Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience.

Experience

Experience is an asset.
