Our client is seeking a Fibre Optics Technician. We welcome applications from candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit. Immigration support may be available for qualified applicants.

Responsibilities

• Install equipment
• Interpret blueprints or other instructions to plan methods or sequences of operation
• Maintain equipment
• Read blueprints or other instructions to determine work requirements
• Service equipment
• Assist in preparing estimates, schedules, specifications, and reports
• Assist in inspecting, testing, and adjusting electronic components
• Calibrate electronic equipment and instruments
• Conduct or supervise the installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems
• Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test, and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems
• Complete work orders, test, and maintenance reports

Experience and Specialization

• Equipment, Systems, and Controls Experience: Telecommunication system
• Type of Industry Experience: Telecommunication and communications
• Area of Specialization: Testing, Installation, Repair, Troubleshooting

Qualifications

• Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma
• Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
• Languages: English
