Position: Fabricator, Metal – Structural Metal and Platework
Locations: Various locations (Dartmouth, NS; Shearwater, NS)
Workplace Information: On site
Salary: $26.00 to $34.00 per hour (To be negotiated)
Hours: 45 hours per week
Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, Full time
Commitments: Day, Night, Shift, Overtime

Responsibilities

Tasks:

• Lay out reference points and patterns
• Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures
• Weld or bolt sections together
• Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines
• Construct patterns and templates
• Install fabricated components in final product
• Rig, hoist, and move materials to storage areas or within worksite

Qualifications and Experience

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
Credentials:

• Metal Fabricator Trade Certification
• Metal Fabricator (Fitter) Red Seal Certificate
