Job Title: Restaurant General Manager (RGM)

Location: Brockville, ON

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a dedicated Restaurant General Manager (RGM) to oversee the daily operations of a single restaurant, managing a team of 10-45 employees. Reporting directly to the District Manager or Multi-Unit Manager, the RGM will be instrumental in achieving business goals through effective leadership and operational excellence.

Essential Functions

• Direct and manage food preparation and sales processes to maximize guest satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with preventive maintenance standards for the restaurant facility and equipment.
• Motivate and guide team members to provide fast and friendly service.
• Provide coaching and feedback to Team Members and management staff.
• Manage restaurant profit and loss through marketing and financial strategies.
• Maintain inventory, manage labor, and apply financial reporting for improved outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations and company policies related to restaurant activities.
• Lead the management team in recruitment and retention of effective talent.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 2 years of college preferred.
• 2-4 years of restaurant management experience.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficient in math and Windows-based computer literacy to manage budgets.
• Ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly manner.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Work Environment

• Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Primarily indoor environment with occasional outdoor tasks.
• Requires prolonged standing and walking, with frequent bending and lifting tasks.
• Occasional lifting of boxes up to 50 pounds.

Schedule

• 8 hour shift
• Rotating shifts throughout the week, including evenings and weekends.
