Our client is a breast care phone navigation service providing care, access, support, education, and navigation for patients with breast health concerns, including breast cancer. The service supports patients in the Edmonton and North zones of Alberta, offering full navigation services while providing support, education, and assistance for breast health diagnostics as needed.

Description

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will deliver a wide range of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations, taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes through critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making, as well as teach, counsel, and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in promoting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance. Your commitment will ensure safe, quality patient and family-centered care reflecting our client’s shared vision and values.

• Minimum Salary: $43.26
• Maximum Salary: $59.21

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
• Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
• If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management – Chapters 1 – 4 and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification.

Additional Required Qualifications

• 5 years of Women’s Health, Surgery, and Oncology experience required.
• 3-5 years of breast health/disease knowledge and experience required.
• Current breast cancer navigation experience required.
• Demonstrate knowledge & competence in Connect Care and Compass Rose required.
• Effective communication skills, both written and spoken, with varied populations.
• Ability to communicate effectively via phone with compassion and empathy.
• Excellent computer skills required.
• Demonstrated interpersonal communication and conflict management skills required.
• Ability to work with and support patients and families during emotionally challenging health journeys.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team required.
• History of reliability and dependability required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Oncology nursing certificate (e.g., CON(C)) considered an asset.
