Our client is seeking an Ethnic Food Cook with expertise in South Indian, East Indian, Vegetarian, Halal, and Vegan cuisines. This role offers an excellent opportunity for international applicants, as immigration support may be available.

• Salary: $36.00 hourly for 30 to 35 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate special events
• Determine the size of food portions and costs
• Plan menus and estimate food requirements
• Requisition food and kitchen supplies
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes
• Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas
• Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
• Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
• Clean kitchen and work areas
• Organize buffets and banquets
• Manage kitchen operations

Qualifications

• Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
• Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
• Languages: English
