Environmental Planner Position

We currently have an opening for an Environmental Planner in our client’s Calgary office. You will be a leader, collaborator, and critical thinker with experience in environmental assessments, navigating legislation, and environmental communications. You will take on a strong role in project planning, implementation, project management, and client development.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to tackle real-world environmental challenges, particularly on municipal infrastructure projects in the Calgary area.
• Prepare high-quality scientific and technical reports, including permits and regulatory documents.
• Lead projects through federal, provincial, and municipal regulatory processes.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development.

Job Requirements

What You Will Bring:

• Undergraduate degree (B.Sc.) in a relevant pure or applied science (graduate degree preferred).
• Preference for individuals registered with a professional organization (i.e., ASPB, AIA, etc.) or eligible for registration.
• 3+ years of post-graduation experience in environmental consulting with a focus on regulatory and permit delivery.
• Strong understanding of relevant provincial and federal legislation, regulation, and permitting processes.
• Leadership skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to cultivate professional relationships.
• Excellent communication skills and technical report writing experience.
