Construction Project Manager – Airport

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager with airport experience to manage our client capital projects from pre-construction through to post-construction. You will closely work with the project team to ensure that all project requirements, financials, and schedules are on track.

In this role, you will be responsible for submitting project deliverables, preparing status reports, and executing effective project communication plans. A successful candidate will have proven experience in project management and the ability to lead diverse project teams.

Responsibilities:

• Understand the airport facility and its unique project setup requirements.
• Plan all phases of the construction project lifecycle from initiation to completion.
• Communicate with clients and deliver project progress reports.
• Develop and adhere to the budget, timeline, and quality control plan.
• Ensure alignment with agreed-upon project plans.
• Collaborate with the Site Supervisor and Project Coordinator to ensure schedule adherence and deliverables.
• Order necessary supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Prepare documents for permit approval in collaboration with airport authorities.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, electricians, and other specialists.
• Monitor compliance with building and safety regulations by collaborating with both internal and external resources.
• Update schedules, track progress, and document project advancements.
• Ensure timely project completion to build client trust and avoid penalties.
• Manage and mitigate risks effectively.
• Obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card [RAIC] for security clearance and a Driving Airside (DA) license.
• This role will daily operate from the Royalty airport office.

Your Qualifications & Skills Include:

• Proven construction project management experience in an airport environment.
• Excellent knowledge of construction management delivery models.
• Strong relationship-building skills with clients, project team members, and contractors.
• Effective communication and team leadership abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and team resources.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Competent in conflict and crisis management.
• Experience in budgeting.
• Proficient using Microsoft Project.
• Education in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
• Valid Health & Safety certifications are considered an asset.
