An exciting opportunity exists for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary neonatal team in the delivery of care to neonates and their families in a level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This position is located in Calgary, Alberta, supporting a wide variety of patients throughout the city and surrounding areas. Neonatal nursing is a subspecialty that works with critically ill newborn infants facing various challenges such as prematurity, birth defects, infections, cardiac malformations, and surgical issues. Attention to detail and critical thinking are essential in this role, requiring a high level of competence and proficiency to thrive in a highly technical environment.
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will be part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, you will provide safe, quality, patient and family-centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of our client.
