Our client is seeking a Heavy Truck Driver. Visa sponsorship may be considered for overseas candidates.

Job Details

• Location: Abbotsford, BC
• Workplace: On site
• Salary: $37.00 per hour / 35 to 40 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full time
• Vacancies: 3

Responsibilities

• Plan or adjust routes according to conditions using GPS and other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption.
• Expertise in mountain driving.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Load and unload goods.
• Inspect vehicle condition including tires, brakes, and cold storage.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs and brake adjustments.
• Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
• Record cargo information, service hours, and fuel consumption.

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Experience: 1 to less than 7 months.
• Certificates: Driver’s License (Class 1 or A).

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

• Handling heavy loads.
• Overtime may be required.
• Sitting for extended periods.

• Organized, hardworking, and patient.
