Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer

Job Description

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will focus on Baseboard Management Controllers (BMC) and work on innovative projects that push the boundaries of technology.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software in C on a Linux platform.
• Create embedded code using Board Support Package (BSP).
• Ensure the reliability, security, and performance of embedded platforms.
• Lead the development, integration, and maintenance of BMC firmware for embedded systems.
• Provide expert-level support for BMC-related issues across product lines.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure BMC functionality.
• Analyze and debug complex firmware issues at the system level.
• Support manufacturing and field teams with BMC diagnostics and updates.
• Maintain compliance with industry standards and security best practices.
• Document firmware architecture, design decisions, and troubleshooting procedures.

Essential Skills

• 10 years of experience in embedded development.
• 10 years of experience with C/C++ and embedded Linux environments.
• Familiarity with reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
• Bilingual in English and French.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with IPMI, Redfish, and other BMC-related protocols.
• Experience with BMC architecture, development, and debugging.
• Experience with the Yocto Project and BSP development.
• Knowledge of telecom protocols and embedded security.
• Familiarity with server management standards and tools.
• Experience with remote management and monitoring systems.

Work Environment
This is a hybrid role with one day onsite on Wednesdays. Be prepared to be available for testing or emergencies onsite. You will work within a team of 8 developers, primarily focused on Linux C development.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 – $60.00/hr.
