Job Opportunity for Registered Nurse in Home Living

Our client is dedicated to enhancing care in the community, helping individuals maintain their health and independence in their homes and communities. We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Home Living team, providing professional support services to clients of all ages.

About the Role

As a self-directed team member with Continuing Care, the Registered Nurse will work collaboratively with the healthcare team. Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing needs and delivering appropriate therapeutic nursing services.
  • Coordinating resources and establishing goals for client delivery.
  • Evaluating outcomes based on established clinical standards.
  • Providing case management and direct client care that is evidence-based and client-centered.
  • Consulting with family and other partners to develop care plans based on unmet needs.
  • Participating in staff development and mentoring student clinical experiences.

    • Compensation

    Provisional Permit Holders will be paid $39.58 /hour – $54.16/hour. Upon registration, pay will be adjusted according to applicable rates.

    Working Conditions

  • Multi-Site: At or out of (UNA only)
  • FTE: 1.00
  • Vehicle Requirement: Driver’s License, Vehicle Required

    • Required Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
  • Active or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
  • Two years of recent nursing experience or completion of a refresher program within 2 years.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Physically capable of performing nursing tasks, including lifting medical bags weighing approximately 25-30 lbs.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred.
  • Palliative care experience and prior experience in Continuing Care or geriatric settings.
  • Experience with assessment tools and case management in Continuing Care.
