Responsibilities

• Advise clients on beauty care treatments.
• Analyze hair and scalp condition.
• Book appointments.
• Cut and trim hair according to clients’ instructions or preferences.
• Provide custom hair and scalp treatment.
• Shampoo customers’ hair.
• Provide hair treatments such as waving, straightening, and tinting.
• Apply bleach, tints, dyes, or rinses to color, frost, or streak hair.
• Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm, and style hair.
• Suggest hairstyles compatible with clients’ physical features and preferences.

Qualifications

• Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 5 years or more.
• Certification: Hairstylist Trade Certification required.
