Our client has an exciting opportunity for an energetic, passionate, and experienced Registered Nurse looking to transform the delivery of care. In this role, you will utilize your strong communication skills and extensive nursing knowledge while being an essential part of a provincial health team.

Key Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for the following:

• Providing telephone triage services to offer health advice and information to callers across Alberta.
• Utilizing clinical software, databases, and protocols to evaluate, triage, and counsel patients.
• Delivering high-quality health advice while demonstrating exceptional patient focus and nursing expertise.
• Employing active listening, problem-solving, and relevant questioning skills to assist callers.
• Applying analytical and critical thinking abilities to determine the best care for Albertans.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
• Active or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of three to five years of recent experience as a registered nurse in a clinical setting.
• Strong critical thinking and advanced assessment skills.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations, including emergency and critical care.
• Ability to manage stress in a high call volume contact center.
• Minimum typing speed of 35 WPM and intermediate computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing.
• Experience interacting with clients over the telephone.

Compensation

Salary ranges from $39.58/hour for provisional permit holders to $59.21/hour for fully registered nurses, adjusted based on registration status.
