Your exciting opportunity to become an LPN of a General Medicine Unit at a regional hospital. The candidate for 4B is one who has a strong interest in acute medicine. We’re looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our unit that truly believes in patient and family-centered care as well as working on a unit that strives to be supportive, caring, and fun. 4B is a 32-bed medical unit specializing in the care of acute medicine patients. A candidate who can work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to provide patient and family-focused nursing care is required, working to full scope of practice with critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level, and our policies and procedures and supported with the education required for the role. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family-centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level, and our policies and procedures. Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
• Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
