Job Opportunity: Deputy Project Manager

Our client is seeking a Deputy Project Manager. This role is ideal for candidates interested in making a positive impact through large-scale transportation projects. We are open to providing visa sponsorship for qualified applicants.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead execution of significant rail/transit project delivery.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing and preparing transportation project teams.
• Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
• Perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
• Prepare technical specification sections.
• Provide input to the development of engineering budget and schedule.
• Establish relationships with local agencies and act as a trusted advisor to clients.
• Manage staff and tasks associated with rail/transit contracts.
• Support various rail professional services pursuits related to major capital programs.
• Manage multidiscipline teams to meet scope, schedule, and budget.
• Lead meetings with clients and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior to mid-level staff.
• Responsible for the whole project lifecycle from planning to closeout.
• Develop and maintain the project execution plan.
• Investigate, negotiate, and resolve project issues.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications:

• BS in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in organizational development and leadership; client service management; leading program management, design, and/or construction management.
• 2+ years of experience in managing complex rail transit projects.
• Experience in design management during construction with local jurisdictions.
• Familiarity with relevant software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Bentley OpenRoads/OpenRail.
• Ability to create grading plans and manage task budgets and schedules.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills.
• Provide in-depth Quality Control and Quality Assurance.
• Ability to analyze and inspire innovative solutions to complex challenges.
