Job Opportunity: Credit & Risk Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Credit & Risk Manager with a strong background in commercial leasing to build and lead the credit function from the ground up. This is a newly created role, offering a rare opportunity to define structure, implement credit policies, and grow a department in a B2B environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate creditworthiness of both clients and loans
• Build and implement robust credit policies, processes, and risk assessment tools
• Oversee and build the credit and collections department
• Manage delinquent accounts and litigation files when needed
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including financial institutions
• Prepare risk analyses and credit reports for internal stakeholders
• Participate in strategic meetings regarding credit, collections, and financial planning

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 10+ years of progressive credit management experience with five years specifically in leasing (automotive, equipment, or commercial finance)
• Experience working with financial institutions
• Strong grasp of risk analysis, credit structuring, and commercial lending principles
• Strong business acumen and organizational skills – someone who can step back and redesign a department
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
• Credit designation (e.g. CCP – Certified Credit Professional) is an asset
