Our client is a key player in the distribution sector and is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join their dynamic team on the South Shore, near Beloeil. Job Description

The Financial Controller will be responsible for the overall management of the company’s financial statements and will oversee the accounting department. The ideal candidate will have strong financial management expertise, proven experience in a service environment, and the ability to manage an accounting team.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, supervise, and analyze the company’s monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Lead the preparation and oversight of the company’s budget, in collaboration with operational departments.
  • Manage cash flow, including forecasting cash flows and managing banking relationships.
  • Supervise and lead the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely accounting.
  • Implement strong internal controls to protect the company’s assets and ensure the accuracy of financial information.
  • Work closely with management to provide detailed financial analysis to guide strategic decisions.
  • Participate in internal and external audits and coordinate responses and necessary actions.

    • Requirements

  • University degree in Accounting (CPA).
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in a similar role, with experience in managing accounting teams and overseeing financial departments.
  • Excellent proficiency with accounting software and financial management tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw strategic conclusions.
  • Solid communication and team management skills.
