Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of technical and process-driven solutions. This role involves ensuring alignment with regulatory mandates, operational needs, and enterprise risk management strategies. The position will focus on Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Information Management.

Project Overview

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for:

• Implementing governance and architecture for secure and efficient data classification, retention, and access.
• Ensuring compliance with frameworks such as NIST, ISO, CIS, and other industry standards.
• Overseeing technical rollouts and managing the deployment of enterprise security tools to ensure minimal disruption and full integration.

Experience Required

• 7+ years in project management roles focused on IT Delivery, IAM, Compliance, and Information Management.
• Strong understanding of NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and Ontario’s public sector policies.
• Proven track record managing IAM solutions (e.g., Azure AD, Okta, SailPoint), security operations tools, and data classification technologies.
• Experience leading the rollout of enterprise-level Information Management solutions.
• Experience with compliance assessments and internal audits.
• Familiarity with technical rollout methodologies.
• Experience managing projects involving sensitive data and cross-agency collaboration.
• Skilled in change management, communications, and training delivery for technical implementations.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to work across diverse teams.

Deliverables

The Senior Project Manager’s responsibilities will include:

• Leading the planning and implementation of IAM systems and compliance activities.
• Managing project delivery life cycles, including vendor coordination and technical testing.
• Overseeing access control policies and identity lifecycle management.
• Coordinating the rollout of an enterprise-wide Information Management solution.
• Supporting the development of information governance frameworks.
• Ensuring the delivery of compliant and secure technology solutions.
• Creating and maintaining project documentation.
• Conducting gap assessments against relevant standards.
• Leading user adoption and change management efforts.
• Facilitating executive briefings and steering committee meetings.
• Developing detailed project plans and stakeholder engagement strategies.

Desirable Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
• Relevant professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or CAPM.

Must Haves

• 7+ years’ experience in project management roles focused on IT Delivery, IAM, Compliance, and Information Management.
• 7+ years’ experience facilitating stakeholder relations.
• 7+ years’ in a project management leadership role.
