Your Opportunity:Our client is seeking a dynamic, highly skilled, detail-oriented individual to join the interdisciplinary team at the Pediatric Cardiology Clinic. This is an exciting role for those looking to be part of a high-performing team dedicated to providing excellence in pediatric cardiac care. The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for pediatric cardiac patients. The incumbent will perform various nursing duties in accordance with clinical policies and nursing care standards and make decisions in collaboration with the team. This role requires travel to outreach clinics supported by the Pediatric Cardiology program and emphasizes a Patient and Family Centered Care philosophy.

Description:As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will be part of an interprofessional healthcare team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Your role will be guided by your education, experience, skill level, and organizational policies and procedures, all while reflecting the shared vision and values of our client.

• Unit and Program: Unit 4C2, Pediatric Cardiology Clinic
• Employee Class: Regular Part Time
• FTE: 0.75
• Minimum Salary: $27.58
• Maximum Salary: $36.13

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program
• Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA)
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)

Additional Required Qualifications:

• Previous acute care and ambulatory Pediatric Cardiology experience within the last 3-5 years
• Demonstrated assessment, critical-thinking, problem-solving, organizational, and patient care skills
• Self-direction, adaptability, and flexibility in a fast-paced, multi-faceted work environment
• Ability to work independently and effectively in an interdisciplinary setting
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Competency in Connect Care, Netcare, and WCCHN programs is a definite asset
