Position Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Services Representative. Join us in an entrepreneurial environment utilizing state-of-the-art industrial wear protection technology and uncovering market needs with tailored solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

Market Development:

  • Drive the growth of wear services and products including CDP wearplate, CastoChrome, Castodur, and LaserClad within targeted key accounts in the mining, construction, and fabrication industries.

    • Strategic Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Services Team, Product Managers, and Marketing to identify market opportunities and provide technical support.

    • Customer Engagement:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring comprehension of their needs and delivering appropriate solutions.

    • Business Development:

  • Identify prospects and assess existing customer needs aligned with our services capabilities, developing strategies for new customer acquisition and existing client expansion.

    • Maintain an Opportunity Pipeline:

  • Keep an up-to-date opportunity pipeline within Dynamics CRM.

    • Technical Support:

  • Provide technical, design, and product support to customers, assisting with inquiries related to wear and preparing proposals and quotations.

    • Market Intelligence:

  • Monitor competitive activities and pricing to inform strategic decisions.

    • Business Planning:

  • Develop and implement objectives and strategies for achieving growth targets.

    • Cross-Regional Collaboration:

  • Maintain connections with other regions for best practice sharing and continuous improvement efforts.

    • Performance Accountability:

  • Ensure sales volume, revenue targets, and gross profit margins are met for wear services.

    • Qualifications

    Education and Experience:

  • Degree in Materials or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5-10 years of relevant industrial sales experience, particularly in wear services.

    • Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic understanding of maintenance and repair welding.
  • Sales-driven mindset with cold-calling experience.
  • Mechanical aptitude and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent consultative communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented.

    • Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time.
