Job Opportunity: Permits, License, Agreements and Approvals (PLAA) Project Coordinator

Our client is seeking a highly organized and skilled individual to join their team as a PLAA Project Coordinator. In this role, you will support clients in obtaining contractor permits and ensure compliance with contractual obligations, with the possibility of immigration support for qualified applicants.

Role Description

The PLAA Project Coordinator will report to the PLAA Manager and work on implementing strategic guidance into PLAA Plans while collaborating with various teams. You will facilitate timely communication of permit supporting documents, reports, and drawings essential for design and construction activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the PLAA Manager, design team, and construction team to implement a comprehensive PLAA Plan.
• Engage with stakeholders to incorporate their feedback into permit applications while managing internal and external regulatory approval processes.
• Participate in the scheduling and coordination of stakeholder meetings as needed.
• Support clients in preparing and submitting plans, reports, documents, and essential information for permit applications.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of work-related experience in planning, municipal planning, building, construction, and/or engineering.
• Knowledge of obtaining permits, licenses, agreements, and approvals for major infrastructure and transit projects.
• A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in planning, engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation procedures and permitting requirements, including the Ontario Water Resources Act, Building Code, Planning Act, Metrolinx Act, and the Municipal Act.
• Experience with Environmental Assessments and the Province of Ontario’s Transit and Rail Project Assessment Process (TPAP) would be an asset.
• Experience in effective stakeholder engagement in securing Federal, Provincial, and Municipal permit approvals.
• Experience with large-scale infrastructure projects in Ontario, specifically P3 project experience, would be an asset.

Salary Information

The salary range for this position is $66,000 – $99,000 based on various factors, including location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
