Join Our Client’s Team as a Physiotherapist

Our client is a leading provider of health services in Nova Scotia, dedicated to delivering excellence in health, healing, and learning. We invite qualified applicants to consider joining our diverse team of innovators and collaborators in a permanent full-time physiotherapist role located in the Western Zone at Clare Health Centre.

About the Opportunity

The physiotherapist will report to the Health Services Manager or Health Services Lead in Primary Health Care. Responsibilities include:

• Patient assessment and diagnosis in a primary care setting for individuals of all ages.
• Developing and delivering physiotherapy patient care plans, including exercise program development, implementation, and evaluation.
• Collaborating with various health care providers and community groups to support patient wellness.
• Providing guidance and information on appropriate health programs and supports.
• Participating in team goal setting, evaluation of team effectiveness, and problem-solving initiatives.

About You

If you possess the following qualifications, we would love to hear from you:

• Bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy from an accredited university.
• Membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists.
• Eligibility for membership with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
• Experience with group exercise prescriptions or community programming.
• Experience working within a collaborative interdisciplinary team.
• ACSM Exercise Specialist Certification or CSEP is an asset.
• Understanding of population health and health promotion strategies.
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork, oral, and written communication skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to change.
• Innovation in program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Competency in computer skills (MS Office, email, internet).
• Annual CPR-AED certification and WHMIS training.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Competencies in French (written and spoken) are an asset.

Hours

• Permanent full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly.
• Weekend and evening hours are required.
• Travel to other sites may be necessary.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly wage ranges from $36.58 to $47.35. Successful candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance, along with a defined benefit pension plan.
